Food Sensitivity tests looks at 96-200 different foods.  It is a blood test that measures the serum concentration of antibodies to specific food allergens. IgG antibodies are the potential indicator of delayed food allergies or food sensitivities. The delayed IgG antibody response often appears 1 to 3 days after exposure to the trigger food. Tiny amounts do not set off symptoms, only excess amounts—overloads. Symptoms are generalized and the delayed onset makes the cause and effect diagnosis difficult.

The symptoms range from a headache, muscle ache, tension and fatigue, to exacerbation of allergic rhinitis and asthma. The benefit of this test is that it can identify unsuspected food sensitivities, which if ignored, may result in stress on the immune system, contributing to the development of additional illness.

Usually foods that are eaten frequently would be the foods suspected in causing symptoms. High IgG levels would indicate a frequent exposure to a particular food. Individuals with inflammatory gastrointestinal disorders and dermatitis frequently have high levels of food-specific IgG antibodies. IgG food sensitivity testing is also valuable as a preventive tool for people who are not overtly experiencing symptoms.

The Bowen technique bridges that part of the science of healing that has not yet been understood. The part that deals with coordination of the brain and body.

During the 45 min. to 1 hr treatment, the practitioner performs gentle moves over precise points of the body.  Bowen is not deep tissue, or manipulations and forceful. The Bowen moves work much like a gentle signal to Golgi tendons; areas of tendon, nerve, and muscle junctions.

One of the most exciting developments in contemporary neuroscience is the recognition that the human brain processes information via different brain circuits or loops. The collection of circuits working together is called a brain network.  Using qEEG (quantitative encephalogram) and LoRETA (Low-Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography) —software approved for academic research, we get an unprecedented 3D look into the brain. 

QEEG brain mapping enables us to see the unique pattern of mental strengths and weaknesses. We are able areas of the brain with too little or too much activity and those coordinating their activity with each other. The accuracy of a qEEG in identifying areas of brain activity is comparable to a functional MRI.

During a typical qEEG session, the client wears a cap that resembles a swimmer’s cap. The cap has electrodes that pick up brain waves and send them into an amplifier that measures the amplitude (power of the brain-wave activity), the coherence (quality of the synchronized communication), and the phase (the speed of communication) between and among regions of the brain.
