One of the guidelines of the Eating Alive Program is that it’s important that you eat breakfast every morning, to provide energy and avoid drops in blood sugar levels. Going without breakfast is like getting into your car and expecting it to run if it doesn’t have any fuel in it.

If you don’t eat breakfast because you’re too rushed in the morning, make it a point to get up a little earlier to allow yourself time to sit and eat. If eggs or oatmeal are too heavy for you first thing in the morning, try having a lighter breakfast such as plain yogurt, toast with nut or seed butter, or a blender protein drink such as the Yogurt and Tofu Smoothie featured as this month’s recipe.
